At the Life’s Kitchen Cafe, your meal is prepared and served by a 16-20 year old committed to transforming her life through food. Enjoy delicious entrees and know that you are contributing to a trainee’s success.

Life’s Kitchen Café

Life’s Kitchen serves up a delicious lunch every Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Enjoying a meal in the cafe is one of the best ways to contribute directly to the program because you’re providing trainees with valuable customer service experience as they take your order and serve your food, as well as hands-on experience in the kitchen, as they prepare your meal. Our cafe seats forty-four, and is available for private lunch meetings or special events.

Lunch is served at Life’s Kitchen at 1025 Capitol Blvd. (one block south of the river) on 9th Street.

Parking is limited. Call-in orders are welcome at (208) 331-0199

Life’s Kitchen has provided more than 260,000 hours of training to hundreds of at-risk young adults here, and produced nearly 1 million meals to feed tens of thousands of community members in need.

Lunch Menu

The café is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00-1:00. Reservations are recommended for large groups.

 

House Salad – $8
Mixed greens, shredded cheddar, pickled red onion, croutons, diced tomato and sliced cucumber accompanied by your choice of dressing.
(Ranch, bleu cheese, spiced honey apple cider vinaigrette, balsamic vinegar & oil)

Harvest Chop Salad – $9.25
Spinach with apples, pears, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, feta, and bacon with a spiced honey apple cider vinaigrette.

Soup and Salad Combo – $7
Half size house salad with a cup of our soup of the day or house made chili.

Green Curry Chicken Salad – $9.25
Spinach, toasted almonds and pickled onion served open faced on a pita. Served with fries.
Substitute a side salad or cup of soup for $1

The Basic Burger – $9
Lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise on a toasted bun.  Add cheddar for $1. Served with fries.
Substitute a side salad or cup of soup for $1.

The Fancy Burger – $9.75
Shallot marmalade, roasted garlic pepper, mayonnaise, blue cheese, lettuce and tomato on a toasted bun.  Served with fries.
Substitute a side salad or cup of soup for $1.

The Grinder – $9.75
Peppers, onions, pepperoni, spicy chorizo and salami under a melty blanket of provolone on a toasted hoagie, finished with a lemon-oregano aioli.  Served with fries.
Substitute a side salad or cup of soup for $1.

Vegetarian Grinder – $9.25                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Artichokes, sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper and onion relish on a toasted hoagie with provolone cheese, finished with a lemon-oregano aioli.  Served with fries.

Pumpkin Gnocchi – $9.75
Pan seared pumpkin gnocchi in a sage brown butter finished with crème’ fraiche and cranberry chutney.

Beef Bolognese – $9.50
Rich beef Bolognese over penne pasta finished with asiago.  Served with a piece of garlic bread.

If you would like a detailed map for parking at Life’s Kitchen, you can find it HERE.  The best parking is located on the north side of building. Please DO NOT park in the Boise State parking lot just north of our facility without proper BSU parking credentials.
